At Bad Decisions LLC, we take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website and use our services, including The Clarity Code("Clarity," "the Service").
1. Information we collect
We collect information you voluntarily provide when you register, purchase, use the Service, or contact us. This includes:
- Account information — name, email address, and authentication identifiers from our identity provider.
- Product data — your ideas, chat messages, phase proof forms, phase summaries, credit balance, subscription status, and usage logs.
- Payment information — processed by our payment partners. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
- Technical data — timestamps, errors, and moderation flags needed to operate and secure the Service.
2. How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Process transactions, manage your account, and deliver the Service you requested.
- Provide chat, phase progression, research assists, exports, and billing.
- Enforce credits, daily limits, and safety policies.
- Respond to customer service requests and fix bugs.
- Comply with law and prevent fraud or abuse.
We do not use your chat to train public AI models unless we explicitly ask for your opt-in consent in the future (that feature is not offered today).
3. Service providers and partners
To run Clarity, we use trusted third-party partners and affiliates who process data on our behalf, including providers for:
- Account sign-in and identity management
- Application hosting and infrastructure
- Database, backend processing, and secure storage
- Payment processing and subscription billing
- AI-assisted chat, summaries, and research features
- Optional public web search for research assists
- Automated content safety and moderation checks
These partners process data only as needed to provide the Service. When you chat, message content may be sent to AI partners to generate replies. Do not submit passwords, full payment card numbers, or sensitive personal data you do not want processed by our partners.
4. Research and web search
When research runs, Clarity may send search queries and limited context (such as idea title, phase, and operating area) to search partners. Results are summarized and shown to you with links. Research is gated and capped (for example, 8 assists per idea per rolling 24 hours).
5. Retention, minimization, and deletion
- We retain identifiable account information and conversation history while your account is active and you use the Service.
- After a subscription ends, you may have a limited retention period (up to twelve (12) months) with restricted access while credits remain, as described in the product and Terms of Service.
- For accounts that are not on an active paid subscription, we schedule automated deletion twelve (12) months after your last sign-in or dashboard activity. Signing in or using the Service resets that twelve (12) month clock.
- Accounts past their scheduled deletion date may be removed by automated maintenance, including ideas, messages, and related records. We will provide notice before deletion where practicable.
- You may request deletion of identifiable data at any time. We will process verified requests within thirty (30) days by contacting help@baddecisions.pro.
6. De-identified data
We may extract and permanently store anonymized or aggregated insights in separate systems. De-identified data cannot reasonably be linked back to individual users and is used solely to improve our services and frameworks.
7. Security
We use industry-standard practices through our partners (encrypted transport, access controls). No system is 100% secure. Keep your login credentials private.
8. Your choices
- Update profile information through your account settings where available.
- Export your journey via in-app Markdown/PDF export features.
- Contact us to ask questions or request deletion.
9. Children
The Service is not intended for users under 18.
10. International users
If you access the Service from outside the United States, your data may be processed in the U.S. and other countries where our partners operate.
11. Changes
We may update this Policy. We will post the new date at the top. Material changes may also be communicated by email or in-app notice where appropriate.
